Free admission! Reception at 2pm, followed by the screening at 2:30pm. Program runs approximately 35 minutes and is suitable for all ages.

Join us to celebrate the work of Off the Block, now in its 17th year as UC Riverside’s summer documentary filmmaking workshop for high school students. This year’s program is in two parts, including a special screening of work shot on 16mm film.

Four short documentaries made by this summer’s high school cohort. (Approx. 20 min.)

Off the Block: 16mm Edition

A special program of short films shot on 16mm black-and-white film, created through two workshops led by UC Riverside Theatre, Film, and Digital Production faculty member Christophe Katrib: a three-day workshop with the Off the Block cohort and a one-day workshop bringing together students from Riverside City College and UC Riverside. (Approx. 10-20 min.)
