Move Along

Thibaut Leconte (b. 2004)

The image that I chose instantly drew my attention with its seemingly endless hallway that extends into the hazy background. The scene reminded me of an image of a car driving down a freeway that extends into the sunset, complete with neon orange hues and deep purples. That style of image is generally associated with the “synth wave” style of music, meant to capture the relaxation within that moment. My piece, Move Along was heavily inspired by that style and was composed envisioning that it would be heard while in that railway.
