Event Info

Lizette Olivas will be in conversation with Christina Fernandez on Thursday, January 19 at 6pm on Zoom. Lizette Olivas (b. 1986, El Monte, CA) is a San Bernardino-based photographer whose work chronicles the quotidian moments of inland Southern California through a blend of portraiture and landscape photography that is at once urban and rural. She earned her BA in Art at UCLA in 2014.

Olivas currently has work on view in Tierra Entre Medio at the Culver Center of the Arts through April 2, 2023. Tierra Entre Medio is organized by UCR ARTS and is curated by Christina Fernandez, artist, with Joanna Szupinska, senior curator. The exhibition is organized in conjunction with Christina Fernandez: Multiple Exposures, a major survey exhibition concurrently on view at the California Museum of Photography.
